    Thanks very much. Complicated lyrics -- I did not understand them until I read your translation.
    I think instead of rainbow, it should be "rainbow-hued peacock".
    "Why did its pair soar upwards ?"
    might be better as 'why did its mate wake up fluttering its wings'?
